…aka Blanche Devereaux. You Will Forever Live On In The Hearts Of All ‘Golden Girls’ Fans!
Rue died of a stroke at the age of 76 while recovering from a heart bypass surgery she underwent last year.
So sad!

My Granny Elsie! - This is a picture of the picture I carry in my purse.
I’m the mushiest person you will ever meet. I cry when things are good and when they’re bad. I guess tears are the first point of call for my emotions.
Five years ago my maternal grandmother passed away.
Today she would be, or as I like to put it ‘she is’, 66 years old.
She was a strong woman. She was self-sufficient and very independant and thats what I remember most about her.
And she would have my family and I cracking up with laughter, she had a sense of humor the size of the globe.
I love her.
I misss her.
I just wish she could have seen her grand children grow up, I know she’d be so proud.
R.I.P Louisa ‘Elsie’ Pitt & Happy Birthday from your first Grand-Daughter, Zindzi.

I LOVE YOU Michael! – RIP
I don’t think I have ever heard more shocking news this year, or maybe in a few years, than I did today – June 25th 2009.
When I heard the news I got goose-bumps, and I was in awe. I couldnt get over it. Michael Jackson, KING OF POP, Dead?! *Doing my best Katt Williams voice*: Whaaaaat?! Its bizzare because at the time I got the news that he had passed, news stations hadn’t even confirmed it yet. All the BIG news broadcasting stations were all still saying that Michael had been “hospitalized” or he was in “a coma”. So I kinda just thought it was all just silly rumours.
The “OH NO!” moment came when LA Times and CBS confirmed his death. I felt like…like….I felt sad! I didnt know MJ personally, but I had the chance to view one tenth of his possessions from the Neverland ranch while I was out in LA this past April (I have far toooo many pics to upload!) and seeing all his personal possessions (toys, collectibles, tour bus, gates, etc) made me feel like I knew him. It was truly a life-changing experience to be so close to his life, and to hear now that he has passed, it feels like I’ve lost someone close. I am a huge fan, I have A LOT of his albums and I loved his songs, and Im not talking about the singles or hits, I mean the “Lost Children” kinda tracks. But indeed music, and the world, has truly lost one of its MOST LEGENDARY, if not the MOST LEGENDARY, icons of all time. He was only 50! My Mommy is gonna be 50 in a few years, she better not go no’where darrnit!! I will not function without her.
As if the news about Michael wasn’t enough, the world also lost the legendary actress Farrah Fawcett – Yep the original ‘Charlie’s Angels’ star with the nice blonde hair who also posed for Playboy when she was damn near 50 lost her battle with Anal cancer! Only today I read an article in the news paper that stated that her boyfriend of many many years has been trying to get her to mary him, and after all these years finally accepted, and to hear that she has passed just makes this love story a sad one! Darnnit Farrah you were too fierce! – We’ll Miss you! She did a really great job in “Extremities”…She dies @ age 62.
A Song For The Moment:
2 icons gone in 1 day? So sad. RIP Fierce Farrah and Magical Michael.
