In Love Again!

In the words of my mother, my father and I are “In love again”….
In all honestly the last 5 to 7 years wasnt exactly smooth sailing for us but we made a lot of improvement for the new year. Things have gotten so good that not only do we communicate very regularly, I also travelled to see him last month in the land of my birth –Dominica.
I’m not sure I was ever as happy to see him, and of course my granny, and sister, and aunts and cousins and uncles. I have a very extended family over there and I never feel more welcomed than when I visit DA.
But back to my daddy and I **rosy cheeks** — We had an awesome time over there. And we connected like we never lost touch. Before I travelled,though, we had a much needed talk about why things were the way they were and I let him know exactly how I was feeling. I suppose we decided to let bye-gones be…bye-gones. We talk all the time and apps like WhatsApp allows us to stay connected on the go so…We never miss anything in each others life!
Anyway….I’m very happy that our worst days are behind us. And I’m super proud of us and the progress we’ve made!

….I’m making strides!
Today the MIML made a comment about me not blogging anymore and I figured….”I’m gonna prove him wrong”…So, here I am. — And besides I have a lot to talk about now so the posts will be flowing week after week. There’s never a dull moment. Trust!
Ever since my return home from university I’ve been trying to figure out a way to establish a steady income for myself – to build my savings and to sustain a decent enough lifestyle. My first attempt at that was getting a full time job. A Monday to Friday, 8 to 5 job! I started in November 2010. Then I took on the responsibility of a car and suddenly my 8 to 5 five days a week just wasn’t cutting it anymore. Make no mistake, Im still working that good ole faithful 8 to 5 — its making ends meet. But for me that’s just not good enough! Since then I have been cooking up a plan B – a 2nd income stream. If he lying it I said my pot hadn’t burnt a few times. Other times the gas just…finished. What I’m trying to say is…Over the past year and (almost) a half I’ve come up with ideas that were either extremely expensive and would require a bank loan for start up — which I am trying to avoid at all costs — or ideas which I was never really passionate about and as such I never followed them through.
Well…today I’m happy to be the bearer of some of the best news I’ve had in a very long time! I’ve started a small business venture…*happy dance*

We’re aiming to take style to the ultimate level by providing a mix of fashion and premium accessories! For now we offer jewellery – for women and a selection for men. Soon we will have body jewellery on sale as well as an extended section for our male audience. And we also plan to extend to handbags and belts — and just accessories in the whole. Think wide! Soon we will have all that and more.
