Looool! - FTR, I did not design this. I found it on Google!
I don’t even need to go over the details of what went down last February between then boyfriend and girlfriend, Chris Brown and Rihanna. GET IN THE KNOW HERE.
Remember the affidavit that detailed the gruesome details of the night? Let’s be honest any fool knowledgeable enough in Microsoft Word could have typed that and we wouldn’t give 2 hoots because in our minds Chris Brown couldn’t possibly have beat Rihanna beyond what MAC concealor and foundation could fix. We would have been none the wiser!
The industry would have still embraced Chris Brown with open arms, as if nothing happened because there would have been no proof. All we would have to go on was ‘he said, she said! He probably would have still lost his endorsement deals and a couple millions but the albums sales would have been more or less unaffected and his “image” or reputation would not have suffered to this magnitude.
But Thank You TMZ for shedding the light!
The photo of Rihanna’s brutalised face, single handily slaughtered Chris Brown’s reputation. The world and the industry were outraged! *How could R&B’s golden-child do this to R&B’s princess?* He hadn’t just slapped her once! She had bite marks, and punch marks and blood all over her face!
The world was angry at Chris, and as long as that picture is around (which is forever, this is WORLD WIDE WEB) we were determined not gonna let him be. Simple! – It’s very easy to forget the news articles, the hear-say but a picture?! No sir. It’s stuck in our memories.
Yes he has apologized countless times but regardless of how many times, do we care? NO! The magnitude of the damages were far beyond anything imaginable and we were not about to let him forget it!
He has gone from Larry King to MTV, still no interview seems remorseful. Nothing he did seemed sincere. That’s just unacceptable.
Granted both Rihanna and Chris have differing stories about what happened but Not even the he-say/she-say inconsistency in their interviews could make us accept what he did.
If Chris really wanted us to forgive him (which we probably never will), he would have done his community service and stayed away from the media and from the music for a longer time, he would have allowed us to “miss him” and by him staying away we would probably have given him the benefit of the doubt and accepted that he was remorseful!
But noooo! Instead he’s at every fashion week show in NY and Paris, on magazine covers, on TV and radio acting like a victim – when he knows very damn well he is NO VICTIM! Oh and let’s not forget his appearing and disappearing acts on Twitter! The guy was everywhere, and when he wasn’t acting all ‘poor me one’, he was acting cocky!
How could I forget his PSA begging fans to buy his music and support him? Ummm?! When have you ever seen MJ (may he Rest In Peace) come on Internet, TV or Radio and beg like a…(lemme not even say it)…for folk to buy his music?! With everything MJ has been accused of doing he has never had to beg. So Chris please…*side eye* Boy just stop it! If you got great talent it should speak for itself, you don’t need to beg nobody!
*Smokey from ‘Friday’ voice:* You should know this mayyyne!
Whilst I agree that as an industry of fans and professionals we need to separate his personal life from his artistry, we’re human we are very subjective! And that separation seems impossible to the fan (much like myself) who grew accustomed to looking at a glamorous Rihanna and one day was forced to look at an appalling image of her looking a wreck because Chris Brown couldn’t control his temper and treated her as his personal punching bag all because he got caught in a lie!
There are exceptions to every rule – I get that. I mean look at Kobe, it’s just sad that he was accused of rape but we still accepted him and he’s still playing B-Ball for a great team! And it’s sad that Tiger had a million mistresses and we still love him but Chris? That picture flushed his career down the drain.
Now WalMart’s not selling his music, ‘Got Milk?’ and Wrigley’s dropped him and radio stations are refusing to play his music…I mean the guy is having problems finding a venue to host his birthday party, for crying out loud! How much worst can it get?
As the adage goes, “When you’re up everybody wants to be your friend/fan/family but when you hit the ground you’re on your own, and the higher you rise the harder you fall.”
And Chris you have fallen real hard boo…I’m sorry Chris, but this is the high price you pay for you unacceptable actions! *Kanye shrug*
I’m just saying!
Luv,
MsZindzi

/ April 25, 2010I couldn’t agree more, MsZindzi. The industry is no longer invested in Chris Brown ever since he decided to put his hands on Rihanna. His hands are the offender, not him. His hands are the devil’s playground. Maybe the only time his career comes back is when he does a Christian movie. Save his soul from the heartbreaking, bitter, fickle music industry. He would have been wise to leave the industry for a while until this incident die down and continue his community service and therapy but no, he wants to do stupid interviews. I guess he can’t afford them anymore. Also, doing a rap video? Come on, Chris, you’re brighter than that. Give it a second though. Otherwise, Chris Brown, invest in a coffee shop or a performing arts academy. Maybe that will be your venue.
