NOTE: SMH @ the downright narrow minded “justice of the peace” (what a contradiction!). To deny inter-racial couples a marriage licence in this day and age??!!! He shoulda been FIRED! – I first heard about this story when CNN BREAKING NEWS tweeted it! The BBC NEWS team just sent me my daily list of headlines and there it was again, I felt most obligated to share….

A white US justice of the peace who refused to sign a marriage licence for a mixed-race couple has resigned, officials say.
