Quit Playing With My Emotions TMZ!

..sigh!

..sigh!

Now why on this beautiful Wednesday did TMZ decide to play with the special set of my emotions that I have allocated to my 2Pac crush?! This is not even funny. Let the man (and a fiiiine one at that) rest in peace please. How many times over the last 13 years have we heard of 2Pac sightings? Since I was in primary school I’ve been hearing the ‘2Pac ain’t Dead’ stories. QUIT IT PLEASE! TMZ is the lastest story-teller. They’re claiming that the above pics were taken of Pac over the weekend in a club in somewhere. I do not even remember the details. I was too distraught to even pay attention to the details. That ain’t him, can’t be. I don’t even need to say why, my readers are too intelligent, the will not believe this mess anyways! I loooooove 2Pac to bits, and as much as I want him to be alive too. The fact is the dude has been dead and buried for 13 years people. Please let us leav eit that way. He will forever live on in the music, but aside from that he is resting in PEACE. Ms.Zindzi miss you Pac! And by the way, if this is their idea to boost their readership, how many more readers do they reeeeally need?! No but really. This is just sad. SMH!

At the momeent I’m listening to obe of his newest albums, Loyal To The Game. Here’s the track that’s playing as I type:

Black Males and Suicide? WOW, Read and Be Aware!

suicide

I only happened to visit the Concrete Loop website and I found an article about black males and suicide.  Ummm – Suicide? black Males? Read on ppl, read on. Its very interesting…Be aware people!

In recent years, suicide rates among young, black males have increased more rapidly than any other group. But this is not something that is discussed in our communities.

Isn’t suicide a white thing? Suicide is the third leading cause of death among black youth. It isn’t a white thing.

Most of us are uncomfortable with the topic of suicide. Too often, victims are blamed; their friends and families are stigmatized. As a result, we don’t communicate openly about it, limiting the amount of information available to those working to prevent it.

Last November, 34 year-old Def Jam Executive Vice President Shakir Stewart died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound and that same month, 19-year-old Abraham Biggs committed suicide on his webcam after he overdosed on pills while streaming a video of himself live on Justin.tv.

Earlier this month, an 11-year-old Massachusetts boy, Carl Joseph Walker-Hoover, hanged himself after enduring bullying at school. According to reports, Carl was taunted daily being called ‘girlie,’ ‘gay’ and ‘fag’, despite his mother’s weekly pleas to the school to address the problem.

Carl, a football player and Boy Scout at New Leadership Charter School in Springfield, would have turned 12 on April 17.

His mother, Sirdeaner Walker, found him hanging by an extension cord minutes before she was going to a meeting to confront school authorities again.

Just last week, an 11-year-old in Georgia, Jaheem Herrera, did the same thing for the same reason. He was found hanged to death in his bedroom closet.

His mother, Masika Bermudez, said he was being consistently bullied at school. She said she had complained to the school, and she said it was her 10-year-old daughter who alerted her to the stress Jaheem was under.

Bermudez said bullies at school had called Jaheem ‘gay’ and had taunted him about his accent. She said when he came home Thursday and she asked him about it, he denied it. She sent him to his room to calm down. That was the last time she saw him alive.

No one seems to care.

A lot of stigma exists in our communities with mental-health issues and seeking help for them. We have to reduce the stigma that seeking help makes you weak and let those individuals know that they can be helped.

The reasons for suicide may be varied, but suicide prevention exists for them all. There are numerous outlets to help anyone considering suicide realize that they have a lot for which to live, although it may seem like nothing at all.

Trust me, I know; I’m a living testimony.

SOURCE

WOW! That is DEEP!…I never knew that suicide was very present (for lack of a better word amoung black males).

Springs here! Like My New Theme?

spring

Hey Ppl,

Don’t you just loooove the weather outside these days? When I was out in L.A. it felt like summer all day, all night – constantly. But now I am back here in England and the weather has been…ummm…better than I expeted it to be. I mean, a few April showers here and there but, nothing too bad and it ain’t been too cold at nights. Thats great (especially for grey’d out England).

How’s your spring springin’ along? Do you like my new theme? Talk to me Ppl…
