My Mother's Dedication

Ms.Zindzi and her Beautiful Mommy-Miss You to bits!
Ms.Zindzi and her Beautiful Mommy-Miss You to bits!

My Mommy phoned me yesterday with such excitment and enthusiasm in her voice!! I knew the conversation would be great. She said she had been onto my blog and read in one of my posts that I liked a song titled ‘I Hope you Dance’ (originally sung by Lee Ann Womack) and that she was pleasantly surprised and so elated because it has always been a song she wanted to dedicate to me. She also dedicated ‘Butterfly Kisses’ by Bob Carlisle. They’re both fantastic songs and has such meaning especially coming from a mother, MY MOTHER!! I took time to relate the lyrics to my life and they were more that fitting and I just couldn’t fight the tears. I LOVE YOU MOMMY!

Readers I hope you like these, share them with someone special, perhaps a family memeber.

Emm Ess Dot Zindzi is HIGH on Life & Music!

I swear music is thee ultimate drug! I love it..

I woke up to what I thought was going to be the 3rd day of my worstest week ever…But little did I know…If you’re close to me you’d know how not-motivated I have been to go to my lessons this week because one of my modules (MarComs) is really turning me off! The mini assignments are making no sense to me, and I was absolutely frustrated. But after I opened-up about it to just about errrrbody I, woke up today feeling better, in good spirits, above the world and ready to take action and stop moaning over MarComs. I went right to my laptop, and wrote my lecturer an email asking for guidance and guess what? She replied! So next week I’m due to meet up with her and straighten out this whole blip. I woke up in the mood to do some serious cleaning, I guess that’s my way of feeling like I’m ridding my life of the old (negative energy) and opening up another day with the new (sunshine girl groove). I popped on some music and got right to it, and I’ll tell you what…I did more that clean, I rearranged my entire flat. I was grooving to the music, just having the time of my life. I guess that’s what happens when you’ve got a head full of optimism, heart full of love and a life filled with blessings!

Today was a good day and the music made it even better, I’ve been singing and humming all day. Shazza’a sitting next to me and she is over annoyed, cause she’s tryna study and I’m “making noise” AKA singing! LOL!

Miracles and Blessings readers! Miracles and Blessings from Emm Ess Dot Zindzi AKA Ms.Zindzi.

The ‘Side-Part Under’ Truth.

I decided to share this video with you guys because I found some truth in the dialogue. *SOME TRUTH*….Sometimes we spend more time listening to other people telling us what to do as oppsoed to living. The lady has a point and I really think you guys will appreciate it. Life’s too short to live YOUR LIFE by the WORDS OF OTHERS!

Anyway I am not tryna ‘preach to the choir’, so watch the video and you’ll see what I mean.

:-(

I’m up at damn near 3 a.m. trying to complete a mini-presentation on ‘Purposeful Dialogue’ (as it concerns ING, the financial company) for my MarComs Workshop tomorrow and as you may have already guessed this is CLEARLY not one of my favourite units – it’s somewhat boring and unexciting, comes across as ‘obvious’ when it really isn’t, and I don’t like it at all. I like exciting courses that make me think, or that are HIGHLY relatable to everyday business life, business news, and customer/human experiences…and at this stage Marcoms is not meeting my expectations.

Anywaysssssssss………….

…Guess what?…I’m sad tonight/this morning…

I MISS MY MOMMYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!!!

Yes I said it – I’m 19, I’m semi-independent, I’m living away from home, I have an exciting life full of freedom and responsibility and YESSS I, Ms.Zindzi, miss my mommy! :(

…almost in tears!

SAD-FACED, Ms.Zindzi.

PS: This whole away-from-home-for-uni thing really isn’t all its hyped up to be sometimes!! URGGGHHH!!!

Living a Little before the BIG 2-1

So yesterday I got my lashes done, AKA I had eye-lash extensions put on. It was my first time and hmmm, they’re nice but…I don’t think there gonna be a regular practice. I think I’m too simple for it. I always wanted to try them but was too hesitant..or maybe a bit of a coward. I did it just to see what I’d look like, or how I’d feel. Now, I don’t really feel any different, but I definitely look a bit different. They’re meant to be short but still seem so long (hence the word ‘extension’). I literally feel like I’ve been given wings.

Having my lashes done really served a greater purpose apart from the obvious though. It got me to thinking that there aren’t many non-surgical temporary beauty solutions that I haven’t tried (and I’m not even 20 yet).

Let me see…I have had manicures, pedicures, finger nail extensions, toe nails extensions, I have my eye-brows waxed and I’ve had them tinted, I’ve also had my eyelashes tinted and I currently have extensions on them, I’ve had my eye-brows razor-shaped, I have had nail art done, I’ve tried lip-stick, I’ve tried lip-gloss, I still use lip balm, I’ve shaved my legs, Oh! and I’ve had hair extensions (weave and bonding), I’ve tried different hair colours from blonde all the way to jet black, I still wear make-up (mascara, blush, foundation, powder, liquid eyeliner, eyebrow pencil and eye shadow) Gosh! I’ve tried so many, and experimented a WHOOOOLE lot with cosmetics in my young age…There’s only a few things left to try and I so intend to try them. I’m 21 next year and I’m hoping that before then I’ll get a chance to try all the other cool stuff that I haven’t had a chance to yet. Next on my list, coloured contact lenses, LOL!

Oooooh, and did I tell you guys that I fulfilled 2 of my ‘Dare in November’ objectives? Well, YESS I did…I wore a strapless top to go to the club on Monday and I also purchased a pair of heels that weren’t black…they were Navy! And one more thing, I actually wore footless tights to go to the club…hmmm, now that was very ambitious of me considering the fact that I have more thighs than hips!! LOL!

Have you been Daring in November? Share your story.

Xoxo, Ms.Zindzi.

“All my Single Ladies, All my Single Ladies!!”

…Don’t you just love that song? I know, it’s over hot. I’m surprised the DJ didn’t play it last night…

Anyway my people, How have you guys been? Hmmm, I hope everything is blessed on your side and that you’re remembering to get enough rest and that you’re happy and healty! J

By the way, Did I mention that I bought the ‘I Am…Sasha Fierce’ album yesterday? Hmm, well yes I did and I’ll tell you what…I have no regrets. The album is hot from disc to disc (yes, its a double disc album!). I would advise anybody to buy it, especially all my single ladies! LOOOOL!

I’ve been overly busy and extremely tired especially with work and uni taking up about 6 of the 7 days of the week. It’s hard to keep my head above water sometimes and as a result I hardly get time to even visit my own blog. But never mind, ’cause I’m here now.

Last night I went out for the first time in WEEEEKSSSSS! Two of my friends celebrated their bdays and I wanted to show my support as per usual so I went out to the club with them. It was a good night, lots of energy, the outfits were hot and the vibe was just right. Right now I’m in the Social Learning Space at my uni and in a few minutes I’m about to pack up and head out to a meeting which should go own for about 3 hours or so. After that, Sharon and Titi and I are looking to head to our ‘Sweet Tuesday Escape’ AKA the cinema to watch Max Payne….So my night is all booked up. No time for nothing but ‘good times’.

Tonight is about smiling and being happy, no ones gonna break this Single Lady’s high! :-D

PEEEEEACE Out!

Xoxo, Ms.Zindzi.
