We'll understand "Why?"

There is no escaping life’s toils- remember the words ‘you can run but you cant hide’? ‘What has missed us hasn’t necessarily passed us’? And ‘there’s a first time for everything’? Well, for some troubles may be short lived for others life may seem life a nightmare that just won’t end. Some people even have things worst, their situation may be short lived but constantly repetitive. I am not making reference to situations that are trivial or some how called upon ourselves. I’m talking about a birth defect, being a target of misery, being hated for NO REASON what so ever, being wronged by someone we probably never thought was capable of such.

Anyway, enough with the definition. My question to you is does it mean that God doesn’t love us or loves us any less than the next man if we are born blind, deaf or dumb, are subject to mockery and ridicule, are suffering multiple emotional blows? Does it really?

Personally, I know that everything in my life serves a purpose. It may be hard at first to realize this purpose but there is one, I TRUST THAT. It just takes a little time sometimes. Which brings me back to my piece on Optimism, sometimes we’re too busy and caught up in moping around about the tragedy behind door A that we fail to realize that door B has opened wide with opportunities for us. No one, and certainly not God, promised that life was going to be easy for any of us (the blind, the deaf, the crippled, the weak, the ridiculed, the well, the healthy etc.). All that is indeed promised is that we will be granted the patience and the endurance to cope, to get by, to get through every obstacle, every rough patch, and every mountain.

That being said, I’m sure there is no doubt in your mind as to my stance. But just for reassurance sake- Absolutely no hurdle- no matter how big or small- is an indication of how much God loves us or whether he loves us at all. In situations like these it is important to remember that God gives us Trials and the devil gives us Temptations. God is trying our patience but the devil is trying to get us to quit and give up hope. Another thing we should bare in mind that we hear all too often ‘God will never give us anything to great for our aptitude.’

So if ever there comes a time when you are ready to doubt your God’s love then know it’s just another temptation from the devil. He is only trying to make you weak and to lower you into his deviant ways. The smartest thing to do is to talk to your God. My granny used to tell me that God is my friend; talk to him just as I would talk to any other friend, there is no need for unnecessary formalities.

Here’s a sample from a religious song ‘Farther Along’ that exemplifies my point to a T:

“Tempted and tried we’re oft’ made to wonder
Why it should be thus all the day long
While there are others living about us
Never more rested, going along
Farther along we’ll know more about it
Farther along we’ll understand why

God loves him and her, you and I and there isn’t two ways about it.

On Eagles Wings

As wealthy as they come.

I have let go and let God. I’ve learnt to understand that it’s useless worrying about minor hiccups along life journey. Who said that our life was easy? Who said that where we are in our lives isn’t where we’re supposed to be? Think about it. God never gives us more than we can handle. Honestly, I believe that patience and endurance is essential to living.

Trust me, just take things one day at a time. Was Rome built in a day? No, neither we’re our dreams. All too often when our lives are about to take major changes that we anticipate, we get anxious, sometimes extremely panicky, fearful even. Not called for. I’m well fit to tell you this: its in the moments when we least expect it our lives take off and all the time we worry and work up our selves, things are changing and we are too busy focusing on matters far beyond our control.

I’ve had my share of twists and turns in this little life of mine, oh yes I have! But now I understand that we’re part of this grand plan that will manifest once we understand just what our purpose is and when we understand who is enabling us to live a purposeful life. Fearing the unknown is human nature but we must not let that fear blur our vision and doubt our hopes and dreams. Its not worth it.

I’m ready to take-on new challenges. I’m about to close this chapter (only two months old) and open a brand-new one. This last chapter has been nothing short of FUN and SUN. LOL! Will miss my loved ones, but I know they want it for me just as much as I want it for myself.

You know the saying ‘all good things must come to an end’? Well I am bringing new meaning to that. Yes, all good thing must end but who said that when it ends things cant get better? Well, I am telling you, my life is about to get grand! I have big dreams. And I’m looking forward to bringing to life each and every one of them with prayers and time on my side.

Call me cocky but I KNOW I’m blessed. Some may say I’m lucky or wealthy. Ha! I don’t believe in Luck. And wealth, yes I am wealthy. After all a woman with blessings is a wealthy as they come, isn’t she? Only a blessed person can have what I have and do what I do! The signs are there. I’m reminded of this everyday. Having said all that and all fears aside, I’m bracing for this brilliant ride!

Chase the Evil away.

Bless those who mourn, eternal God, with the comfort of your love that they may face each new day with hope and the certainty that nothing can destroy the good that has been given. May their memories become joyful, their days enriched with friendship, and their lives encircled by your love.

Replace the anger and violence in our hearts with joy and tranquillity and help us to seek the good in everyone. Cause us all to realize that without you we can do nothing that will bring us peace and joy. Thank you for hearing and answering our prayers.

…And I Smile

And I quote from a journal I wrote earlier this year…”No one annoys me more than a meanie (someone who is angry at one person but feels like the world should pay for it). Meanies live to kill spirits. They walk around with the world on the shoulders…and a frown on their faces. Never give anyone the liberty to break you smile or your stride. Trust me, it ain’t worth it. Smile because it will sure as hell annoy the heck out of the enemies. If a smile has such a huge impact, imagine what laughter can achieve. I feel like I have had more than my share of negativity but on second thoughts He never gives me more than I can handle. I was taught to leave room for disappointment and to always take the words of others with a grain of salt. Nevertheless I refuse to let go. I’m holding on with every ounce of strength I have. Albert Einstein said “Great spirits have always encountered violent opposition from mediocre minds.”

Paradox

The paradox of our time in history is that we have taller buildings but shorter tempers, wider Freeways, but narrower viewpoints. We spend more, but have less, we buy more, but enjoy less. We have bigger houses and smaller families, more conveniences, but less time. We have more degrees but less sense, more knowledge, but less judgment, more experts, yet more problems, more medicine, but less wellness.We drink too much, smoke too much, spend too recklessly, laugh too little, drive too fast, get too angry, stay up too late, get up too tired, read too little, watch TV too much, and pray too seldom.

We have multiplied our possessions, but reduced our values. We talk too much, love too seldom, and hate too often.

We’ve learned how to make a living, but not a life. We’ve added years to life not life to years. We’ve been all the way to the moon and back, but have trouble crossing the street to meet a new neighbor. We conquered outer space but not inner space. We’ve done larger things, but not better things.

We’ve cleaned up the air, but polluted the soul. We’ve conquered the atom, but not our prejudice. We write more, but learn less. We plan more, but accomplish less. We’ve learned to rush, but not to wait. We build more computers to hold more information, to produce more copies than ever, but we communicate less and less.

These are the times of fast foods and slow digestion, big men and small character, steep profits and shallow relationships. These are the days of two incomes but more divorce, fancier houses, but broken homes. These are days of quick trips, disposable diapers, throwaway morality, one night stands, overweight bodies, and pills that do everything from cheer, to quiet, to kill. It is a time when there is much in the showroom window and nothing in the stockroom. A time when technology can bring this letter to you, and a time when you can choose either to share this insight, or to just hit delete…

Remember: Spend some time with your loved ones, because they are not
going to be around forever.

Remember: Say a kind word to someone who looks up to you in awe, because that little person soon will grow up and leave your side.

My New Best Friends.

**SIGH** This is no easy task. Requires lots of patience and focus, feels like school all over again! LOL! There are so many things that I want to accomplish within the next five years of my life. Slowly but surely all will fall into place because as you and I both know GOD is GOOD.

Pretty soon my focus on university will definitely be narrowed. All the unanswered questions that for years and months have plagued me will be put to rest. All my dying concerns about which direction my life is going to take will be ceased. I am on the brink of closing one wonderful, well lived chapter of my life to open on a new, unknown, untouched chapter. I am excited, yes I am, but that level of fear still remains. Its natural that I be fearful, letting that fear consume me is another thing and that, I will not fall victim to.

When I left home to head off on vacation some three or four weeks ago, nothing that anyone said or did could have prepared me for what I encountered on my trip. Or should I say who! On my first stop, was more or less bonding Mother/Daughter time. My second stop, was a party and a bit of a reunion. Good memories. Last stop, what was supposed to be solely a reunion and rest time turned into a euphoric fantasy, only in reality it was as ‘real as death’. No worries, all your dying questions will be answered. :-D

How do I feel? Scared. Who wouldn’t be? After all, I’ve been against ‘this’ for as long as I can remember. This is a big leap for me. I’m taking a risk that I never imagined or dared to take. But that’s what life is all about. The greatest risk in life is not taking one.

With that said, I am making time and prayer my new best friends, for obvious reasons.

Gotta keep up the POSITIVE VIBES!!
